Pre & Post Care

Permanent cosmetic procedures normally require multiply treatment session. For the best results, clients will be required to return for at least 1 re-touch procedure between 4-6 weeks after initial procedure.

Be prepared for the colour intensity to be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the procedure. This will subside and becomes lighter as the skin tissue heals. This process can take up to 10 days.

Delicate / sensitive skin areas may become swollen or red; it is advised not to make social plans on the same day. Please wear normal make-up to the salon on the day of the procedure.

Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen or Coumadin for 48 prior and post procedure.
Do not discontinue any medication before consulting a doctor. Do not drink alcohol the night before treatment.

Day 1
No make-up should be applied for 3 days.
Ice packs protected by cloth may be applied as necessary to reduce and swelling.

Lip procedures (cold sore sufferers) use medication as instructed.
Eye procedures when going to bed apply a little Vaseline with clean cotton bud around eyes as instructed by myself.

Day 1-3 you may experience eyes—eyelashes may stick together, particularly at night. Eyes may be puffy, tender, red or even have slight bruising (rare). All areas—may be flaky, dry, red swell and be itchy.

Daily care to follow at least one week or until procedure has fully healed.
We recommend you use a gentle cleanser to cleanse face during healing time
Keep hair away from procedure site as this may prevent infection.

Some itching is normal DO NOT PICK SCRATCH OR PEEL the treated area. Colour may not heal evenly and you risk scarring or infection. Allow the wound to flake on its own. No makeup to be worn for 3 daysA new mascara is advisable to purchase.

LIPS – Avoid spicy and salty food. Drink through a straw. NO KISSING.

DO NOT expose healing skin to direct sun, tanning beds, jacuzzis, saunas, salt water, chlorinated pools, direct shower sprays, hot water, skin creams or ointments other than vaseline.

If area gets wet gently pat it dry using a clean tissue. Remember your selected colour will be stronger and darker immediately after treatment but as healing occurs the colour and lighten.

Long Term care
Use a good SPF (sun protection factor) on each area even throughout the winter. Sun exposure will fade your permanent cosmetics.  If you are planning on having a chemical peel or other medical procedure inform your doctor /consultant that you have had permanent cosmetics.
